Philadelphia Police Department officers honored during award ceremony

Members of the Philadelphia Police Department were honored on Tuesday for outstanding service and achievement.

A ceremony was held at the Fraternal Order of Police in Northeast Philadelphia.

Purple Heart, Tactical De-escalation, Lifesaving, Bravery and Heroism awards were given to officers whose actions demonstrate commitment to the police department's mission and to the residents of Philadelphia.
